FOUND: Police have this evening (Sunday) launched an urgent search to locate an Island woman who suffers from Alzheimer’s that has gone missing from Shanklin.
Maureen Hitchcock, 75, was last seen at 16:15 in the Victoria Avenue area however has not been seen since.
She is described as white, 5ft 5″ tall and was last seen wearing jogging bottoms with a blue strip and a purple top. She is of slight build and has shoulder length brown hair.
Maureen may appear confused.
UPDATE @ 20:30 – Police have been searching the Shanklin and surrounding areas this evening with the assistance of the Police Air Support Helicopter.
UPDATE @ 20:45 – Thanks to the efforts of Hampshire Constabulary and WightSAR, Maureen Hitchcock has been successfully located.
She went missing from her home address in Victoria Avenue.
