SEARCH AND RESCUE VOLUNTEERS THANK THE PUBLIC FOR OVER £1,000 IN DONATIONS

Published:

Search and Rescue volunteers from WightSAR have thanked the public for donating over £1,000 to their collection tin.

The organisation, which is relied upon by emergency services such as the police to aid in searching for missing or vulnerable people, relies solely on donations to keep its equipment maintained and its force of volunteers trained.

Its team, made up of people from all walks of life on the Isle of Wight, is trained to a national standard and can be called upon by the authorities at any time of day and night, 365 days a year.
