schoolbusventnorPHOTO EXCLUSIVE: A Southern Vectis operated school bus has this morning been involved in a collision in Ventnor Town, causing considerable damage to the vehicle.

The double-decker bus, part of the new Vectis Blue fleet, collided with a lamp post on Church Street before coming to a safe stop outside Boots in Lower Ventnor causing delays for school pupils heading towards Christ the King and Carisbrooke College on the 330 route.

schoolbusventnor2Windows on the school bus have been smashed, however the Isle of Wight Council has confirmed that no persons have been injured in the collision.

A replacement bus has been sent to the scene to continue a normal route, however pupils are facing delays of up to 30 minutes.
