2 men from Ryde have been arrested as part of a Police investigation into thefts from an Isle of Wight business by its own employees.
Officers attended addresses in Castle Street and Nelson Street in Ryde this morning (Wednesday) and arrested a 24-year-old man and a 50-year-old man as part of an ongoing investigation.
It relates to allegations of theft valued at approximately £2,000 from an Isle of Wight business, which was reported to Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary on 12th October.
Police have confirmed to Island Echo that the men, both from Ryde, have been arrested on suspicion of theft by employee.
They both remain in custody at this time.
UPDATE THURSDAY – Both men have been bailed until January 2025, as investigations continue.
