A Guildford woman successfully walked around the coast of the Isle of Wight last weekend, completing around 68 miles in just over 30 hours.
61-year-old Ruth Coleman completed the walk on Saturday 1st May to raise funds for StarFishAsia, a Christian children’s charity that supports schools and homes for disadvantaged children in Pakistan.
The charity’s priority is the Christian minority population who face prejudice and often lack any other means to educate their children.
The projects are run independently by trusted local people who have a vision to bring about change in their communities.
Ruth was accompanied by her husband and retired local solicitor Ian Pratt for part of the walk, and she raised almost £3,000 for scholarships for students.

Wow. Well done. Many congratulations. I have tried this walk twice before but ran out of steam on both occasions. As I am roughly the same age as Ruth, this will encourage me to have another crack.
