Emergency services are this afternoon in attendance at a head-on road traffic collision on The Downs, resulting in the closure of the road.
Island Echo understand three vehicles have been involved in the crash, which occurred shortly before 13:00 near to Downend.
Police are diverting traffic away from the scene between The Hare and Hounds pub and Lime Kiln Shute.
It is currently unknown if any injuries have been sustained.
Southern Vectis are reporting that The Downs Breezer Tour currently has delays of up to 10 mins due to the amount of traffic using the bus route through Newchurch.
