A total of 4 people have been arrested on suspicion of robbery after tobacco and cigarettes were stolen from the Central store in Upper Ventnor yesterday evening (New Year’s Day). Police were called at 18:11 on 1st January 2024 with reports that a group of people had entered the convenience store on Newport Road and stole tobacco and cigarettes. Officers arrested 4 people as part of enquiries – a 16-year-old boy, a 33-year-old man, a 20-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman. It has been confirmed to Island Echo that no weapons have been involved. It is thought that at least 1 of the arrests took place in Albert Street in the town centre.

The Tories are one of the worst governments in the last 100 years, they’ve ruined most of G.B and will kill off the NHS if they are re-elected, but the scum that robbed this little shop are responsible for their actions and I hope they get several years in jail if convicted, if you are saying these scumbags were immigrants, illegal or not, then deport them back to their country of origin the day they finish their prison sentences.
