An appeal to help locate a pushbike that was placed in a bin as a prank has been launched, amid fears it has been stolen.
The bicycle’s owner is said to have been on the receiving end of a ‘prank gone wrong’.
His bike was put inside a large bin outside Shanklin Chine as a ‘joke’, but when he went to collect it, it was nowhere to be found.
The poster has taken to Facebook to say:
“If anyone knows who’s taken it, or if you have it, please could you return it to Shanklin Chine ASAP. It wasn’t to be thrown away so they need it back.
“Any information would be appreciated”.
UPDATE: It is understood the bicycle in question has been located and reunited with its owner.

Not the brightest bunny in the burrow, the prankster.
Pranks are rarely ‘funny’ to the person being pranked.
