UPDATED: Households and businesses in the Northwood area have been hit by a power cut this morning (Saturday).
Around 85 different postcode areas stretching between Parkhurst and Gurnard have been affected by the outage, which hit at 09:34.
Southern and Scottish Electricity Networks say that it is anticipated power will be restored to the PO30 5 and PO31 8 area by 11:30.

A network fault was to blame for the short outage.
