Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary are searching for the driver of an MG that was involved in a road traffic incident in Bembridge this morning (Wednesday).
Police were called at 05:58 after they received a report of a road traffic collision involving an MG car and a parked Ford Fiesta on Steyne Road, Bembridge.
Officers attended the scene, but the driver of the MG was not present.
Whilst the crash was cleared, Southern Vectis Route 8 buses had to divert locally.
It is unclear as to how the crash occurred or if the cold icy conditions played any part.

Pissed driver who may well have no licence. Only reason to do a runner. Gets home, says nothing, when police call at their home, they claim car was stolen and they did no know till the police showed up. Classic trick.
I wonder if that ever works. I imagine it could, I mean the police here would know it is a BS story but they aren’t likely to do an investigation or anything..
