FOUND: POLICE HUNTING FOR CAR STOLEN FROM DRIVEWAY IN COWES

An Audi was stolen from a driveway in Cowes during the early hours of this morning (Monday) when a thief entered a family home and stole the keys from the kitchen table. Police on the Isle of Wight are now searching for the 2009 A6 Estate, registration mark VO59 LHP. It’s said that the thief entered an address on Nelson Road in Cowes sometime between the hours of midnight and 03:00. They went through to the kitchen, took the keys off the table and drove away – all whilst the occupants were asleep in bed upstairs. Anyone who spots the vehicle should contact Police on 101, quoting 44230484613. UPDATE TUESDAY – Thanks to eagle-eyed Island Echo readers, the vehicle has been located on Artic Road, Cowes. It’s thought that the car may have crashed into a garden fence in the Cowes area before being dumped.
