Wait until the worlds rejects fill many of the new homes to be built. Honestly this IS the nice times here. Vote with thought in May if you care for your child’s future here.

I think you will find its a generational thing, we have always had crime but not on this scale.

It comes from far left polices that have been implemented over the last few decades, respect for each other has gone along with good old fashioned discipline….

I’d love to know which far left policies the (Tory) government of the last decade or so has implemented. Have you heard of Priti Patel, or Iain Duncan-Smith?

Rubbish.
We have had crime on this scale for a very long time.
The thing is you always missed alot of the crime reports in the local papers unless they were full or half spread. As most of it was a week after the incident.
The fact everything goes online within hours of the event makes it look worse.

Yeah agree, its been downhill since Michael Foot won the election back in 1983. Would have been so different if Thatcher and Tebbit had been able to bring in their right wing discipline to sort out the unruly working classes.

I blame the milk we give to kids at school. Should have got rid of that decades ago.

Very convenient to be able to blame all of the Islands problems on the mainland. You are of course wrong with regard to Village Way as I suspect you are about most things.

Well if the crime is flying up then yes they must be coming from somewhere… We live on a island so they can only come from overseas so I agree with Jim… Why all the red thumbs for Ryde comment makes no sense, although we don’t want another lock down eh!

I have always been led to believe that the island is 50 years behind the mainland, regarding inforstructer and society in general, so by that calculation we are in 1971, so let’s start inviting the Ted’s,mods, rockers and NF here with there flick knives and regular Saturday night bar braws, rose tinted glasses any one?
