UPDATED: Police and Coastguard Rescue Teams are understood to be searching for a missing person in Niton this afternoon (Thursday).
Several Police units are currently searching the Niton area alongside Coastguard teams from Ventnor and Newport.
UPDATE @ 14:40 – It has been confirmed that the search conducted earlier this afternoon was looking for a 6-year-old boy who had been reported missing.
Thankfully, the young boy was safely located with his father. The search has been concluded.
