Police officers were called to an unique incident on the outskirts of East Cowes earlier this afternoon (Wednesday) when two pigs fell from a trailer they were being transported in.
The incident happened off the main Newport to East Cowes road at Folly Lane, Whippingham shortly after 16:30 and resulted in a vet being called to the scene as both animals became distressed following the ordeal.
Motorists were directed by Police after one of the animals fell into the road.
It is unknown how the incident occurred.
