Local firm Diametric Technical has donated over 4,000 lip balms as part of ‘thank you’ boxes to staff at the Isle of Wight NHS Trust to recognise their unwavering support to the Island’s community throughout the pandemic.
The company – which produces badges and nameplates to the likes of Aston Martin and Spinlock – first approached the NHS back in January to offer a donation, with the offer taken up in March with the opportunity to contribute to the ‘Great Big Thank You’ gift box.
With staff having to wear face masks for almost the entire day, the Diametric team went about sourcing and branding 4,200 tubes of lip balm for the Island’s NHS heroes.
Managing Director, Graham Steele, said he is incredibly proud to have been part of the gift box scheme. He said:
“We just wanted to do something to let the wonderful team at St Mary’s know how grateful we are for everything they have done and are doing to look after patients and their families during this challenging time.”
