UPDATED: Police investigating the sudden passing of a young woman in Northwood last night (Saturday) are not thought to be treating the death as suspicious.
Several Police officers and paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service were mobilised to an address in Northwood Close near Cowes at just gone 20:30.
Sadly, the life of the patient – a 21-year-old woman – could not be saved and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police remained at the property for over 5 hours before leaving the scene during the early hours of this morning.
A file is being prepared for the coroner.
UPDATE @ 15:58 – Hampshire Constabulary have confirmed that the death is not being treated as suspicious.
