Police, paramedics and firefighters have all responded to a crash involving 3 vehicles on a notorious junction on the outskirts of Newport this lunchtime (Monday).
It was at around 13:00 that emergency services were alerted to the potentially serious road traffic collision on Middle Road, at the junction with Betty Haunt Lane.
However, the situation has already been scaled back.
Island Echo a total of 2 cars and a campervan have been involved in the crash, which appears to have stemmed from one vehicle pulling out of Betty Haunt Lane onto the busy Middle Road, between Carisbrooke and Calbourne.
The road remains open with Police directing traffic in both directions.
Recovery of the vehicles involved has been arranged.

Can Island Echo restrict others from using the same name that is already in use? With the “Enough is Enough” duplication, it is getting confusing to say the least. The only way we can tell at the moment is that the REAL Enough is Enough is a “Noble member” but that situation will not remain for long. Can this be sorted please?
