FOUND: Police are this afternoon (Sunday) appealing for the public’s help in locating a missing 15-year-old girl who is believed to be on the Isle of Wight having gone missing from Southampton.
Officers are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of Rebecca McLean, who has gone missing with 33-year-old Michael Britten.
The pair were seen together in Ryde yesterday morning, however have not been seen since.
Two years ago Rebecca moved out of the family home to live at a friend’s house, where it is believed Mr Britten was a lodger. It is understood social services had intended to move Rebecca to new accommodation.
Anyone with any information, or who has seen Rebecca or Michael, is asked to contact police on 101. In an emergency dial 999.
UPDATE @ 08:20 – Hampshire Constabulary have this morning confirmed that Rebecca McLean has been found safe and well.
A 33-year-old man, believed to be Michael Britten, is assisting Police with their enquiries.
