UPDATED: Police have closed Merstone Lane between Arreton and Rookley this morning (Monday) following a road traffic collision.
Emergency services are in attendance at what is understood to be an incident involving 2-cars, potentially both on their roofs. They were called at just after 06:00.
With the road blocked and icy conditions present, the road has been closed in both directions.
Southern Vectis buses are diverting via Rookley until further notice.
UPDATE @ 08:42 – Island Roads have confirmed that Merstone Lane remains closed this morning.
UPDATE @ 13:32 – Merstone Lane has now reopened to all traffic.
