Fire crews turned out to a garden fire in East Cowes in the early hours of this morning (Sunday) after receiving a number of 999 calls from concerned residents.
The orange flames lite up in the windows of a number of surrounding properties, causing concern for those living nearby.
The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service dispatched firefighters from Newport to the scene on Grange Road, East Cowes shortly before 02:20.
It was discovered that a storage container was ablaze. Island Echo understands gas canisters were stored in the garden.
