One of the busiest roads on the Isle of Wight has re-opened in both directions this morning (Monday) following the conclusion of the Isle of Wight Festival.
Fairlee Road has been closed to outbound traffic since last Wednesday, with only vehicles heading from Whippingham towards Newport permitted at a reduced speed of 30mph.
It has now been confirmed that Fairlee Road has been fully re-opened with motorists once again able to travel in and out of Newport.
The sliproad from the southbound dual carriageway has also been re-opened, alongside the northbound lane from Snooks Hill.
Island Roads confirmed that the road had re-opened at 11:18.
