37-year-old Marcus Brace has avoided a prison sentence despite pleading guilty to possessing indecent images of children, some as young as 5.
Brace, of Downs View Road on Pan Estate, Newport appeared before the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court back in May, where his case was deemed too serious and was sent up to the Crown Court.
He pleaded guilty at the first opportunity to 3 counts of making indecent images of a child, namely 10x Category A, 16x Category B and 65x Category C.
The prosecution explained to the court that Police identified Brace and paid a visit to his home, where he lived with his partner. When officers arrived Brace said: “I’ve seen some images and would like to speak to someone about this”.
A number of electrical items were seized.
The Crown Prosecution Service said that the images were of children aged between 5 and 9.
During his interview, 37-year-old Brace admitted to going on different platforms and opening links.
In the original court hearing, defence solicitor Oscar Vincent said that stress factors in his client’s life no longer apply, he has stopped drinking and his outlook on life has improved. He has also sought counselling.
Appearing at the Isle of Wight Crown Court this week, Marcus Brace was handed a 2-year community order with 40 rehabilitation days and 150 hours of unpaid work attached.
The peadophile has also been added to the Sex Offenders Register for a period of 5 years and is now subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for 5 years. He has also been barred from working with children.
What the Hell is wrong with our Judges ? There should be only one punishment for this type of scum bag ……
What the problem is, is that judges can never again give meaningful prison sentences nowadays because IF you hadn’t noticed the UK has now has its jails filled with the worlds vilest.
Since unchecked and illegal immigration many of the vilest criminals fill our jails, so, unless our own disgusting beings are worse than these, then there is little chance of them being jailed for terms that are acceptable.
As the amount arrive and with no checking what is arrive grows, then it will never get better imo.
No MP’s, judges or anyone in authority dare say why, as the race card is now stronger than UK laws.

ahh well – perhaps societal justice will prevail – after all, freedom from jail isn’t such a great thing for a publicly known pervert – his neighbours and other “interested parties” might decide that the opportunity that the courts have provided them by not locking him up, is too good to miss out on.
brace really ought to “brace” for the consequences handed to him by others, not involved in the criminal justice system.
only 37 and as the average life expectancy of a male is around 87, he has another 50 years of living with the knowledge of being a convicted sex offender. That tag will be with him and follow him around like a bad smell.

If his “partner” genuinely didn’t know about this nonces disgusting perversions then I feel sorry for him/her. I would imagine that they will soon have to vacate their Pan address for their own safety. Personally I think he should be publicly castrated with a very blunt instrument and have “Pervert” tattooed on his forehead and then banished from the Island.
