Ryde Inshore Rescue has been in the press frequently over past few days following the mindless act of vandalism to their launch vehicle – but here is your chance to make a difference.
The volunteer lifeboat service based along Appley Lane in Ryde is recruiting people to join their ever-growing team.
Ryde Inshore Rescue is on call to HM Coastguard 24hrs a day, 365 days a year.
They operate 2 Inshore lifeboats from their headquarters at Appley.
Whether it’s being part of the lifeboat crew, shore crew, launchers, working within their shop or being a fundraiser – there is something for you if you fancy giving something back to the community.
The best part is, there is no experience required, all the necessary training will be provided.
Ryde Inshore Rescue conducts training on a Monday evening from 19:00 and is on the station from 10:00 until around 14:00 on Sundays carrying out general watch duties.
If any of the above takes your fancy, you can send them a Facebook message, a Tweet or pop into their Station to gain more information.
