A motorcyclist has been conveyed to hospital this evening (Wednesday) after being involved in a collision with a car in the middle of Newport.
Ambulance crews were called to St James’ Street at the junction with Lugley Street shortly before 17:25 after a motorcyclist collided with a car, resulting in minor injuries to his leg.
The incident comes following a minor incident involving a motorcyclist and a van on Fairlee Road, Newport this afternoon and an incident involving another motorcyclist on The Downs early this morning.
The scene has been cleared and the road remains open.
