Mindset Bros, the Isle of Wight-based men’s mental health and wellbeing community, is inviting families and individuals to join their Christmas Day Walk & Talk event in Sandown – offering a supportive, pressure-free way to connect on what can be a difficult day for many.
The walk will take place on Christmas morning (Thursday), starting at 11:00 from Sandown Pier.
It is open to everyone, including families, parents, children, couples and individuals who may be experiencing loneliness, grief, stress or emotional pressure during the festive period.
While Christmas is often seen as a time of joy and togetherness, Mindset Bros acknowledge that this is not the case for everyone. The Walk & Talk aims to provide a safe, welcoming space where people can connect with others, talk if they wish, or simply enjoy some fresh air and company.
Ross Taylor, Founder of Mindset Bros, has said:
“There’s no pressure to open up, no expectations, and no judgement.
“Sometimes just getting out of the house, breathing fresh air, and walking alongside others can make a huge difference. Christmas Day can be incredibly tough for some people, and this is about reminding our community that no one has to face it alone.”
The event follows the group’s ethos of being informal, inclusive and supportive. Attendees can join for as much or as little of the walk as they like, making it accessible for those with children or limited time.
Mindset Bros are well known across the Isle of Wight for their grassroots approach to mental health, offering regular Walk & Talk sessions, community events and charitable initiatives throughout the year.
The Christmas Day Walk & Talk is free to attend, open to all ages, and no booking is required.
