An Isle of Wight man headbutted and elbowed Police Officers whilst receiving treatment at St Mary’s Hospital, a court has heard.
Kyle Parry, 29, of no fixed abode, admitted 2 counts of assault a constable in the execution of their duty when he appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court last week (Friday).
Prosecuting, Serena Edwards, told the court that on the 31st October, Parry was admitted to St Mary’s Hospital where he was accompanied by a duo of Police Officers.
The court heard how whilst at St Mary’s, Parry became aggressive towards the officers, headbutting and gouging at one and elbowing another.
Defending Parry, Nick Muir, told the court that his client was having a psychotic episode at the time and felt that he ‘needed to leave’ the hospital on the day of the offence. He also added that Parry has no memory of what happened.
The case against Parry, who has a lengthy list of previous convictions, was adjourned until the 6th February when a pre-sentence report is to be compiled.
And this is the lowlife that the Government pays more money in benefits than a workman earns working out in the piss weather we are getting. about time some principles and priorities were looked into.
Many workman earn good money and don’t declare
their annual earnings, perk of the job.

At risk of sounding draconian, I wonder if some of those having “psychotic episodes” were held in secure hospital accommodation while receiving treatment whether they might offend less and certainly be less risk to others.
Anyone not respecting the law needs banging up,
what chance does the rest of us have if such
individuals attack police.
He should face the full force of the law, no excuses.
