33-year-old Daniel Skittlethorpe has been charged with burglary following a break-in at a corner shop in Wroxall yesterday morning (Thursday).
As first reported by Island Echo, it was at around 05:00 yesterday morning that Police were alerted to a break-in at Central Stores on West Street in Wroxall.
The burglar used a brick to smash the front window and enter the premises, leaving behind blood splatters from the shattered glass.
A cordon was erected and detectives were called in the hours following the break-in.
Now, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary have since confirmed that Skittlethorpe, from Union Road in Ryde, has been charged with burglary other than dwelling .
He has been bailed with conditions to appear at Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court on Friday 16th January 2026.
