A 22-year-old man from Cowes has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm after reports of a man having been assaulted with a baseball bat.
Police were called at around 14:30 this afternoon (Sunday) to the incident on Arctic Road in Cowes.
A spokesperson for Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary said:
“On arrival officers spoke with a man in his 20s who had an injury to his head.
“A 22-year-old man from Cowes was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He remains in custody at this time.”
UPDATE ON WEDNESDAY 4TH OCTOBER – The 22-year-old man has been released on Police bail until 1st January 2024.
