A road connecting Adgestone to Alverstone has been closed this morning (Wednesday) due to a water leak.
Southern Water engineers are currently investigating the issue on Lower Road with a view to repairing the leak as soon as possible.
Lower Road has been closed in both directions for a distance of 747 metres between the junctions of Upper Road and Longwood Lane.
Motorists should divert using Upper Road, Well Lane and Lower Road. Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the road is closed.
