Thanks to the support of Island residents, HMV in Newport is set to stay open despite initially facing closure in just a matter of weeks.
The store’s management have placed a notice in the shop window this week announcing that the popular music retail store will remain on the Island at its current premises in Newport High Street.
The closure u-turn has been credited to the great support from local customers and an understanding landlord, who has been able to keep rates affordable and provide terms suiting the chain’s needs.
Great news for the Island!
