An Isle of Wight business owner accused of defrauding customers out of more than £160,000 has seen his case adjourned until later this year.
Scott Carpenter, 41, of Quarry Road in Ryde appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court charged with 2 counts of participate in fraudulent business carried on by sole trader.
The offences – allegedly committed by Carpenter and his company Bespoke Carpentry – took place between the 1st May 2021 and 30th November 2022.
The 41-year-old is alleged to have committed fraud totalling £160,000 with one customer said to have been left £80,000 out of pocket. No plea was entered to any of the charges.
Carpenter will next appear at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court on 19th November.
