Lionel Richie, Duran Duran, Snow Patrol and Lewis Capaldi have been revealed as the headliners of next year’s Isle of Wight Festival.
Organisers have this morning (Friday) announced the line-up for next year’s summer festival, which will take place at Seaclose Park in Newport between 17th-20th June 2021.
The acts set to take to the stage at next year’s event are very similar to this year’s line-up, which sadly hasn’t come to fruition due to coronavirus. The Isle of Wight Festival 2020 should have been getting underway proper today.
New to the bill are The Script, Jess Glynne, Carly Rae Jepsen, Mavis Staples, The Snuts and The Alarm.
Friday will see performances from Lionel Richie, Lewis Capaldi, Jess Glynne and Becky Hill, whilst Snow Patrol and Pete Tong will headline Saturday night of the 4-day festival. On Sunday, Duran Duran will return to the Isle of Wight to bring the 2021 festival to a close, alongside performances from The Script, Supergrass and Carly Rae Jepsen.
Other acts announced include Happy Mondays, FooR, Primal Scream, Sigma, Razorlight, Kaiser Chiefs, Example, Ella Henderson, Lightning Seeds and You Me At Six, among many others.

Lionel Richie has said:
“I was really excited to be playing at The Isle of Wight Festival this summer and like so many of us I was very sad that so many things have had to be delayed. Obviously everyone’s health and safety comes first. I’m now looking forward to it even more and know we’ll all have such an incredible night of partying together. It’s a festival steeped in music history – Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones have all headlined and I’m honoured to be joining the esteemed list! See you all next year!”

This is sooooo typically Festy weather though! If I were Mr G, I would change the festival date to a week later. Always seems to rain or be ‘unsettled’ this time.
When the world was in lockdown, no cars, no factories, nor planes, the UK had ‘coincidently’ the best weather for the entire period.
Perhaps the growing chance of a huge second wave of CV if lockdown returns, will ‘prove’ if it was ‘just coincidence’.
What do you mean no factors some were still working and never stopped
he has changed date week later ???
I am not so very sure that things with CV will have progressed enough to allow it to happen. I hope I am wrong, as miss it badly, but can’t see it ‘working’ if distancing is still the name of the game. Drink, drugs, wild young people are not a great mix when there are tens of thousands of them, and festy’s will be the largest spreader of CV imo.
Can’t see a vaccine by then but we do live in hope. So very pleased to be wrong on this one.
go hide under the bed baz – large gatherings spread everything that is around – so what. Life is not going to stay on hold, because of yet another virus or disease – simple. Economic collapse, will cause more deaths then the virus.
unless the economy and human interactions get back to normal, then the virus has won and human existence is finished with.
“Economic collapse, will cause more deaths then the virus.” Stop peddling this Trump miss information anon33. It has no founding in logic or data. What is true is that in the last 3 months there has been over 60,000 MORE deaths than the seasonal average. Do you really think there would be more than this because of an economic downturn?? I don’t recall that many deaths in the 80’s when we had over 4 million unemployed!
never will be a vaccine life has to go on
Our Jason will be pleased. Still has the ticket we bought him from wightbay. Let’s hope this awful virus is cured by then.
This sounds good line up already.
Wow. Another year with outdated pop music. Waste of time.
Some of us like the so called outdated pop music.
There is a wide range of music styles available if you are prepared to wonder away from the main stage/tent.
Odd, no opera lol.
Am looking forward to going to many more festivals.
Totally agree Lewis Capaldi is sooooooo 25 seconds ago.
I agree with Classified. There’s little in that line up that would be exciting to youngsters (judging by the stuff my daughter listens to). But going to see Shaun Ryder and Bez, and also Pete Tong, who are all approaching the grand age of 60 years, is still tempting, given the quality of current acts.
Not chavie enough for you!…
How does that make chavie Clare? The line up gets worse and worse every year. It’s sadistic people like you who keep buying these tickets lol.
Jess Glynne giddings you said you wouldn’t invite her again your full of shit won’t be seeing me or my family there your a disgrace
Im going to wait until shes about to come on stage then walk off and go on an all nighter with the Spice Girls instead
Money wins as usual
Jess Glynne?? Thought she was banned?
Clearly she must be ‘cheap’.
A load of has beens for the drunks and drug users to spread the virus
What a crap line up what happened to good music. This modern line up of music is for teenage girls not adults. Much much better festivals I’d rather go to. Shame
Dull, dull, dull. Lewis Capaldi, is this really the best they can do? So overrated and will hopefully be forgotten by 2021, christ he’s bloody everywhere
