Monday 8th January – Friday 12th January 2024
• Daniel Kilshaw, 42, of Barton Road, Newport pleaded guilty to 2x theft from a shop. He was handed an 8-week prison sentence and ordered to pay £286 compensation. • Joseph Mckenzie, 46, of Pier Street, Ventnor was found guilty in his absence of using a motor vehicle on a road / public place without third party insurance. He was handed 6 penalty points on his licence, fined £300 and ordered to pay a £120 surcharge. • Mitchell Dent, 23, of Dall Square, Freshwater pleaded guilty to drug driving (cannabis) and using a passenger vehicle with tyres with insufficient tread. He was banned from driving for 12 months, fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 cists with a £48 surcharge. • Billy Chilcott, 29, of Green Street, Ryde pleaded guilty to theft from a shop. He was ordered to pay £60 compensation. • Jack Tregoning, 30, of Alexandra Road, Ryde pleaded guilty to driving whilst disqualified, driving without insurance and possession of a controlled drug of Class B – cannabis. He was handed a 12-month community order with a 9-month drug rehabilitation requirement. He must also complete 30 rehabilitation days. He was banned from driving for 6 months. • Donna Moore, 43, of Fort Street, Sandown pleaded guilty to theft from a shop. She was fined £40 and ordered to pay £40 costs with a £16 surcharge. • Lorelei Fisher, 18, of Carter Avenue, Shanklin pleaded guilty to burglary other than dwelling – theft, sending by public communication network an offensive / indecent / obscene / menacing message / matter and 2x theft from a shop. She was made subject to an 18-month community order with 40 rehabilitation days attached. • Warren Russell, 40, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to 4x theft from a shop and 2x attempt theft from a shop. He was sentenced to 10 weeks in prison and ordered to pay £105.19 compensation. • John Benjamin, 52, of Chinchen Close, East Cowes pleaded guilty to criminal damage. He was ordered to pay £197.36 compensation. • Kevin Leonard, 55, of Corbett Road, Ryde pleaded guilty to failing to provide specimen for analysis. He was banned from driving for 20 months and made subject to an 18-month community order with 15 rehabilitation days attached. He was ordered to pay £85 costs. • Lee Whiteland, 56, of Church Lane, Ryde pleaded guilty to breaching a sexual harm prevention order. He was made subject to a 12-month community order with 20 rehabilitation days attached and fined £80. He was ordered to pay £85 costs with a £114 surcharge. • David Miles, 35, of Cedar Drive, Shanklin pleaded guilty to assault by beating and 2x common assault. He was made subject to an 18-month community order with 80 hours of unpaid work attached. The order included a 60 day alcohol abstinence monitoring requirement. He was ordered to pay £85 costs with a £114 surcharge. • Max Rowley, 19, of St Michaels Avenue, Ryde pleaded guilty to driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance. He was handed 6 points on his licence and fined £300, as well as being ordered to pay £85 costs with a £120 surcharge. • Zachary Fever-Norton, 29, of Alexandra Road, Cowes pleaded guilty to failing to provide specimen for analysis – vehicle driver. He was banned from driving for 20 months and made subject to a 12-month community order with 240 hours of unpaid work attached. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and £114 surcharge.
SINGLE JUSTICE PROCEDURE CASES
• Ben Lansley, of Bowcombe Road in Bowcombe, was fined £220 and ordered to pay costs of £90 and a £88 surcharge fee for driving without a seatbelt. • Michael Pilbeam, of Preston Road in Ryde, was banned from driving for 12 months, fined £392 and ordered to pay costs of £90 and a £157 surcharge fee for using a motor vehicle without 3rd party insurance. • Aaron Cooper, of College Way East Cowes, was fined £220 and ordered to pay costs of £90 and a £88 surcharge fee for using a phone whilst driving. His licence was endorsed with 6 penalty points. • Kim McFarlane, of Heathfield Road in Freshwater, was fined £138 and ordered to pay costs of £90 and a £55 surcharge fee for speeding in a 30mph zone. Her licence was also endorsed with 3 penalty points. • Mark Grimshaw, of Kennedy Close in Wootton, was fined £72 and ordered to pay a surcharge fee of £28 for speeding in a 30mph zone. His licence was endorsed with 3 penalty points.
