Warrants for arrest issued
These individuals failed to appear in court on the specified date. A warrant was issued for their arrest. This list will not be updated as to whether the warrant has been satisfied.
• Adam White, 32, of no fixed abode, for driving whilst unfit through drink.
• Ross Dunford, 21, of Hunnyhill, Newport, for being drunk and disorderly in a public place.
• Sara Story, 60, of Mitchell Avenue, Ventnor for assault by beating.
• Craig Carey, 36, of Crossway, Bembridge for failing to provide – vehicle driver.

IF I have read these right, it is better to ‘fail to provide’ (10 points and £336 fine) than to allow a breath test and blood draw (18 month ban, £500 fine). Would someone explain the logic in this please…. obviously not a Magistrate as they don’t seem able to look at anything in a logical manner.
I think it’s because he wasn’t driving it, just in charge ie in car with keys and couldn’t prove he was driving.
I think it’s for not providing the name of some one driving the vehicle. Not necessarily related to drink or drunk driving
A warrant issued for a 60yr old Ventnor woman for ‘Assault by Beating’? Let me guess…. She battered her poor downtrodden husband with a rolling pin after he accidentally forgot their anniversary?
