This is your weekly round-up of some of the latest court cases heard at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court.

Monday 2nd December – Friday 13th December 2024
• James Willis, 39, of Lower Road, Adgestone pleaded guilty to drug driving (Methylenedioxymethamphetamine), drug driving (Cannabis), drug driving (Ketamine) and possession of a controlled drug of Class B (Ketamine). He was banned from driving for 24 months and handed a 12-month community order with 15 rehabilitation days and 100 hours of unpaid work attached.
• Amber Banham-Gage, 22, of George Street, Ryde pleaded guilty to common assault and theft from a shop. She was fined £120 and ordered to pay £75 compensation.
• Tyler Brisley, 21, of Hatherden Road, Charlton, Hampshire pleaded guilty to drink driving (60). He was banned from driving for 19 months, fined £600 and ordered to pay £85 costs with a £240 surcharge.
• Leigh Ord, 41, of Hyde Road, Shanklin pleaded guilty to assault by beating and obstructing/resisting a constable in execution of duty. They were handed a 12-month community order with 20 rehabilitation days attached and ordered to pay a £120 fine, £85 costs and a £114 surcharge.
• Lee Woodberry, 52, of Rolfs Close, Bembridge pleaded guilty to drink driving (102). He was banned from driving for 25 months and made subject to a 12-month community order with 15 rehabilitation days attached. He was ordered to pay a £461 fine, £85 costs with a £114 surcharge.
• Jade Sandells, 27, of Esplanade, Ryde pleaded guilty to failing to comply with a community protection notice, causing wasteful employment of police and persistently make use of public communication network to cause annoyance / inconvenience / anxiety. She was made subject to a 24-month community order with 30 rehabilitation days attached. She was also fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs.
• Joseph Long, 40, of William Street, Ryde pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled drug of Class A (Cocaine). He was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs.
• Sophie Trattles, 36, of Royal Street, Sandown pleaded guilty to drink driving (43). She was banned from driving for 14 months, fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs with a £48 surcharge.
Other
• A closure notice was issued against Austin Edward Collinstone in respect of 5 Nippert Court, West Street, Newport which has been closed and must remain closed for a period of 3 months from 19th November 2024.
