LATEST CASES AT THE ISLE OF WIGHT MAGISTRATES COURT (25TH JULY – 29TH JULY 2022)

This is your weekly round-up of some of the latest court cases heard at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court.

Monday 25th July – Friday 29th July 2022

Shanika Bradley, 30, of St John’s Road in Sandown, pleaded guilty to sending a letter/communication/article conveying an indecent/offensive message, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, common assault and using threatening/abusive/insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of/provoke unlawful violence. She was made subject to an 18-month community order with 25 rehabilitation days attached. She was fined £120 and ordered to pay costs of £85.

Ben Burrows, 33, of Ash Road in Newport, pleaded guilty to possessing a 6-inch knife, 2 charges of harassment without violence and resisting a constable. He was handed a 12-month prison sentence, suspended for 12 months. He was also made subject to a 12-month restraining order and must complete 15 rehabilitation days. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £128 surcharge.

Abhinav Mujoo, 43, of Hackinton Cresent in Bromley pleaded guilty to drink driving (80). He was banned from driving for 19 months,  fined £365 and ordered to pay £300 costs with a £37 surcharge.

Lucy McGrath, 46, of Shamber Hill in Shorwell, pleaded guilty to speeding – namely 47 in a 30. She was disqualified from driving for 6 months and handed 3 penalty points on her licence. She was fined £512 and ordered to pay £85 costs with a £51 surcharge.

Martin Cooper, 35, of Barfield in Ryde, pleaded guilty to common assault. He was fined £300 and ordered to pay £85 costs.

Terry King, 43, of Arthur Street in Ryde, pleaded guilty to assault by beating of an emergency worker. He was made subject to a 12-month community order with 90 hours of unpaid work attached. He was ordered to pay £100 compensation, £85 costs and a £114 surcharge.

Edward Betterley, 38, of Vectis Road in East Cowes, pleaded guilty to drink driving (72). He was banned from driving for 36 months, fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs with a £48 surcharge.

•  Alex Cooper, 24, of George Street in Ryde, pleaded guilty to 2 charges of theft from a shop. He was ordered to pay £21.28 in compensation and was fined £40. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs.

Robert Burnett, 38, of Godric Road in Newport, pleaded guilty to using threatening/abusive words/behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress. He was fined £80.

Robert Burnett, 38, of Godric Road in Newport, pleaded guilty to possession of a Class B drug (cannabis), possessing a weapon for the discharge of a noxious liquid/gas/electrical incapacitation device/thing and offering to supply a psychoactive substance. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay a £34 surcharge.

Gary French, 33, care of Shamblers Road in Cowes, admitted breaching the requirements of a community order. He was fined £60 and ordered to pay £60 costs.

Dale Robinson, 42, of West Street in Wroxall, had his community order revoked on the grounds that it was unworkable. He was handed a new 12-month community order with 35 rehabilitation days.

Daniel David Kilshaw, 41, of Fort Street in Sandown, was imprisoned for 26 weeks, suspended for 12 months, for theft from a shop – namely clothing items to the value of £345.88 from TK Maxx. He was ordered to pay a £128 surcharge.

Barry Charles Cottell, 69, of Nelson Road in Newport admitted breaching the supervision requirements imposed following release from prison. He was fined £50. The case was health with as a sitting of the South and West Devon Magistrates Court.

All the fines would not pay for one days running of the Court, so all costing us a fortune to fund useless, vile people.

These are the same ones who will be pleading poverty, and getting the most help, all ungratefully taken handouts from the Gov, via us paying for cost of living aid, etc.

These type should have their benefit stopped entirely, basic food voucher given, and any clones they produce taken into homes, as they will otherwise grow up just like their sperm or egg providers, as not real Fathers or Mothers but beings who have had kids.
