Police are yet to provide details of a late night crash which resulted in several vehicles being damaged in Sandown overnight.
It was not long before midnight last night (Saturday) that emergency services were called to The Broadway, between Foxes Close and Avenue Road.
At the scene, a Peugeot 3008 had collided with a wall, having mounted the pavement.
A Nissan Pulsar also sustained damage.
Police spent several hours on scene, into the early hours of this morning, with recovery of some of the vehicles involved arranged.
It’s said that 1 male was placed into cuffs by attending officers. However, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has failed to comment on the crash today. The full circumstances and details of any arrests remains unknown – and won’t now be known until at least Monday morning.
A short distance away, a damaged black Audi was present at the scene at 07:30 – with a person fast asleep in the passenger seat.
