Islanders are being invited to the big switch on of the Long Lane Christmas lights display in Newport this Saturday (27th November) at 18:00.
Terry and Sue Ramplin have been lighting up their house at 68 Long Lane for over 21 years now, raising thousands of pounds for charity in the process. Since 2014 alone, the couple have handed out a staggering £25,337 to local good causes.
This year’s chosen charities are IW Prostate Cancer Support Group and Daisy Chains IW.
COVID scuppered last year’s switch on plans but with things back to normal, the usual festive cheer and entertainment is making a welcome return! A marching band will be performing on the night, with mince pies and sausage rolls on offer to visitors.
Long Lane is taking part in this year’s Light up the Wight, brought to you by Island Echo and sponsored by Southern Vectis.
