What patients think of Isle of Wight doctors surgeries has been revealed, showcasing both the good and the bad.
The national annual GP survey – compiled by NHS England and Ipsos – allows patients to comment on the performance of their surgeries with Isle of Wight GPs among those on the list.
A multiple-choice survey sees experiences ranked, from how easy it was to get through on the phone and how helpful the receptionist was, to whether patients felt they were treated with care and concern.

The Bay Medical Centre. I can tell you that. It must be a farm boy do they milk covid in that practice.
one more category missed out
where genuine patients felt that they had to wait longer to be seen as the place was full of lying hypochondriacs, junkies, alco’s, work dodgers, lifestyle benefit claimants, attention seekers and immigrants
100% most likely across all surgeries.
Thought about a slot on GBeebies News?
I wish when people make comments stick to the facts and stop making personal attacks on each other the whole of the nhs is in a mess and the gps nurses doctors that are there to treat people and haven’t jumped ship to go private should be treated with respect
I’m with you – I do believe you genuinely need help.
The usual subtle insults when the nail is hit firmly on the head.
Spot on Islander and most agree with you, the others likely fit into one of your mentioned groups, or have a buggy full in the family, as many do now, making it difficult for people to admit the truth, even to themselves.
exactly wilbur – you will only see downvoting and insults from the very same groups that clog up the Dr’s Day in day out.
some are so pathetic that they call an ambulance for the slightest little thing, instead of putting on their big grown up pants and actually having a backbone.
I don’t see the Wootton Bridge practice on the list.
They are named under Medina health centre
Must have missed this survey. Ryde esplanade surgery… can get through to them, when you do, receptionist are just rude… and have to wait about 2 months for an appointment. It’s a joke… don’t get me started on dentists….
The Esplanade Surgery use to be very good.
“Use to be”
No surprise that the West Wight Medical Centre don’t appear on the list .. wonder why !
Wight Primary partnerships is west wight, they rebranded due to ownership changes.
Arwald thanks for the clarification .. then a rigged survey . Typical
If you had asked me a year ago what I thought of Newport Health Centre it would have been unprintable. However I have had to use their services a couple of times in the last few months and what a transformation. Ok, it takes a bit of holding on to get through to the receptionist but when I have it has been excellent service all the way. Well turned round Newport Health Centre.
And yet Argyl Stree which has done so well in all sections is closing! This joint affinity with Hampshire is really working well “not The Bay at Shanklin is rubbish missed the fact my son was dieing thank god the paramedics didn’t! Prescriptions are never ion time if you complain to the receotionistst’ itslike they are doing you a real favour. Not their job!
the best part of all this is…
if you need to be operated on, they tell you “at least 18 month waiting list” – if you go private only a few weeks. If you have the cash and go private, you walk in the door only to be seen by the very same doctor who told you about the 18 month waiting list and are then operated on in the very same hospital, as the UK doesn’t have any private operating theatres.
what does that tell you- it is intentional and a drive to make it more private and making those that cant afford go without, give up and go away.
Health centres are there for profit not you Newport & Wootton area disgrace NHS don’t want to know ???
