Dozens of Islanders have braved the cold to see in not only the New Year but a new decade too!
2 New Year’s Day swims were held in Ryde and Shanklin yesterday (Wednesday).
At Appley, crowds raced into the Solent in aid of Ryde Inshore Rescue, who were providing safety cover for the event.
Meanwhile, in Shanklin, the New Year’s Day dip was being held at the Salix Cafe in aid of Wessex Cancer Trust. Sandown & Shanklin Independent Lifeboat were on hand to provide safety cover for those taking part in the annual event.
