Islanders have been left angered this morning (Thursday) after a large amount of household rubbish was dumped on a rural lane in Godshill overnight.
Island Echo understands that the rubbish was dumped on Godshill’s Munsley Lane – off Newport Road – between 20:00 yesterday (Wednesday) and 05:00 this morning (Thursday).

Within the glut of items are baby clothes, toys and hundreds of Pokémon cards.
One good samaritan, who runs a local waste clearance firm, has offered to pick up the rubbish for free if the person who fly-tipped it doesn’t return.

Disgusting people, surely it can be traced maybe receipts, or someone saw a neighbour loading the car or van up? They need catching why not take it to the tip lazy b…….! You should be ashamed of yourselves bet you wouldn’t like it if someone dumped stuff ( rubbish) on your front doorstep.
Scum of the island..
Brainless, bet they didn’t check if the Pokémon cards were worth anything.
Some Pokemon cards are worth loads of money
As this is a criminal offence, surely the police could obtain mobile phone ping data to know who was in the precise location during that time period?
The island cannot stop motorists speeding so I
doubt they could do such a thing.
There’s always something in there to give a location area then check CCTV in that area, just takes someone a days work, just requires someone with a badge to get up, nice day for it ;).
They could……………..but
I’d be grabbing them pokemon cards though still. Originals and certain newer gen cards go for a fortune now days
