Dragon’s Den star Theo Paphitis has given his support to an Isle of Wight company which makes bags and other from recycled fabrics as part of ‘Small Business Sunday’.
Samm Collins, who runs Samm Designs, manufactures items such as handbags from recycled fabric and tweeted Theo during the weekly celebration of all things small business.
Each week, 6 weekly winners gain membership of #SBS and a retweet from Theo to his large social media following in a bid to boost their exposure and spread the word about their activities.
This week, Samm was luckily enough to be one of the winners of the initiative, which was set up by the Dragon in 2010. As a result of the retweet to Theo’s half a million followers, Samm has noticed an increase in orders for her handbags and other recycled items.
Samm, who has entered the #SBS initiative every week for 3 years, has also seen her business profiled on the #SBS website.
If you’d like to get your business mentioned by Theo, you can tweet him between 17:00 and 19:30 on Sundays with the hashtag #SBS.
