Island Spirit Gin, produced by the small independent distillery Isle of Wight Gin, is now being served at the Houses of Parliament in Westminster.
The development marks a significant milestone for the business, which has built its reputation on small-batch production, a deep connection to the Isle of Wight, and strong support from the local community.
Island Spirit was created using Creative Director Leigh Jackman’s synaesthetic approach to flavour – a sensory method that blends taste, aroma and atmosphere to evoke the feeling of a summer breeze on the Isle of Wight.
Leigh has said:
“Island Spirit was designed to express how the Island feels in summer. Having it served at the Houses of Parliament is a proud moment for us.”
The team has acknowledged the support of Richard Quigley MP, who assisted in making the opportunity possible and continues to back Isle of Wight-based producers.
Having Island Spirit recognised in Westminster places the local brand among established names in the distilling world, highlighting the value of independent craftsmanship shaped by location.

Party time again in Westminster.
That’s nice as we pay for it to be drunk..as they pay very little for food and drink in there all part of the perks.
In most occupations, it is at least frowned upon, and most, a sackable offence, to consume alcohol at work, whilst undertaking the task(s) you are employed to do.
In parliament, it seems to be not only acceptable, to drink on the job, but encouraged, and almost mandatory.
Why is it that we allow the governance of our country, to be controlled by a bunch of P1ss Heads.
No wonder it’s all in such a mess!
