ISLAND SHOP OWNERS CONGRATULATED ON ‘BEST SMALL SHOP COMPETITION’ AWARD

Bob Seely has congratulated shop owners Adam Baker and Jack Cavanagh-Hodson – from Island shop Cavanagh & Baker – on gaining an award in the UK’s Best Small Shops competition 2019.

The former MP, who is once again vying to be the Island’s representative in Westminster in next month’s General Election, encouraged small shop owners on the Island to enter the competition earlier in the year. He met with Jack and Adam at a reception for 25 shortlisted retailers in the House of Commons Terrace Pavilion.

“I’m delighted for Adam and Jack. What a great achievement for them and the Island.

“It’s great to be able to showcase to the rest of the UK what the Island has to offer.”

The competition celebrates not only the commitment and creativity of entrepreneurial independent retailers but also, the central role these retailers play in building local communities.
