After nearly 18 months without singing, the Newchurch Male Voice Choir is now pleased to announce that it has resumed practices.
The men will be taking it gently to start with, and this makes it an ideal time for new members to join. Perhaps you’ve never tried choral singing, but if you simply enjoy humming a tune or singing along with a favorite number, why not give it a try?
Singing is good for your health and the Choir’s extensive repertoire ranges from Elvis Presley to Puccini, embracing a wide variety of genres. No previous experience is necessary, and you do not even have to be able to read music.
Practices are held in Newchurch Parish Hall, PO36 0NN on Fridays from 19:25 where a warm welcome awaits you.

Not surprised a church would be ignoring the upswing in covid cases. Religion has been very quite about their gods role in this….. Why would their god allow a doctor that has worked all hours to save lives to then die of the same disease. But allow pedos to survive? Come on believers answer that?
Well said Fred, but it seems that it is in God’s master plan apparently? (Ps god is dead)
Wondering how many Newchurch Choir members have died or been disabled by Covid-19 in the last 18 month.
Singing may be good for one’s health, however a group (or mostly older men) singing in a confined place with limited ventilation is both foolish and dangerous.
1) Science has evidenced singing expels more of the Covid-19 virus into the air when singing.
2) Gatherings in an enclosed space with no or limited ventilation will expose others to Covid-19
3) The Delta variant has been documented to have been passed outdoors while walking on the pavement walking past an infected person. Not every time, but it does happen.
have a day off jeff.
99.98% global survival rate of covid – 1 in 3 no symptoms, the vast majority barely any symptoms at all and recover easily
hardly dangerous to be singing.
Jeez you really have swallowed the propaganda havnt you .terrified of your own shadow .
