Firefighters from Newport, Freshwater and Ryde have freed a horse after it became stuck in Calbourne this afternoon (Tuesday).
The Animal Rescue Unit from Newport, the Land Rover 4×4 from Ryde and two appliances from Newport and Freshwater were called to Jubilee Car Park off Lynch Lane at around 14:20 after the animal became stuck in a partition.
Crews have freed the horse and are now awaiting a vet to assess the horse’s condition.
