The drop in electricity supplies resulted in lights going off and back on again, however was not enough to turn computers or televisions off.

A spokesperson for Southern and Scottish Energy has told Island Echo that a fault passage indicator detected an issue with the network and therefore reset to prevent an outage.
The power dip came as Island Echo readers reported seeing meteorites falling through the sky, however it is unconfirmed what the objects are. Some readers are saying it is an international space station, whilst others are saying the objects appear to be aeroplanes.
One reader in Southampton reported seeing a total of 2 objects whilst driving home.
