HEDGE FIRE SPREADS TO CLADDING

fireFire crews from Newport and Shanklin are this lunchtime tackling a hedge fire in Luccombe, which has spread to cladding on a nearby building.

The fire broke out shortly before 10:30 this morning at Luccombe Farm on Cowleaze Hill.

It is understood the fire originated in a hedge, however quickly spread to cladding on the nearby farmhouse, which has caused smoke damage.

No one has been injured in the incident.
