Isle of Wight-based Go Internet has been crowned ‘Operator of the Year’ at the 2025 UKWISPA Members Awards, recognising its innovation and excellence in fixed wireless broadband provision.
The UK Wireless Internet Service Providers Association (UKWISPA) — celebrating its 10th anniversary this year — represents fixed wireless and alternative broadband providers nationwide. Its annual awards are voted for by members, making the accolade a genuine mark of peer recognition.
Trevor Cook, Managing Director of Go Internet, said:
“I was quite surprised to be nominated, and even more surprised to have won the award. We were against some very big operators.
“We were absolutely delighted to have won Operator of the Year at the 2025 UKWISPA awards, as voted by our fellow members.
“The team at Go Internet works hard to deliver fast, reliable connectivity and first-class customer service across the Isle of Wight. This recognition is a real testament to their dedication and to the trust and support of our customers and peers in the industry. A huge thank you to everyone who voted for us – we’re proud to be flying the flag for alternative networks and with everything we have planned, the next year is going to be extremely exciting.”
David Burns, Chairman of UKWISPA, praised Go Internet’s achievement:
“The prestigious UKWISPA Members Awards are won by organisations that lead the way in their field. I was delighted to see Go Internet receive the Operator of the Year Award.
“Go Internet is an exemplary broadband provider that achieves success by combining bespoke platform development with a profound commitment to its customers and the wider community. The Isle of Wight has unique challenges when it comes to delivering modern broadband economically compared to most of the UK. Seeing a local company responding to these challenges so professionally, with such a focus on the community, is truly inspiring, and Go Internet certainly deserves the recognition.”
Founded on the Isle of Wight, Go Internet continues to expand its high-speed fixed wireless network, delivering reliable, affordable broadband to homes and businesses across the region. The company’s customer-first approach and commitment to rural connectivity continue to position it as one of the UK’s leading alternative broadband providers.
