The Isle of Wight College has announced its upcoming open evening, which is scheduled to take place at both their main Newport site and engineering site, CECAMM in Whippingham on Wednesday 3rd May.
The event offers prospective students and their families the chance to try out taster sessions in areas they are interested in and discover the benefits of studying at the College after leaving school.
The open evening promises to be an exciting event that will showcase all the opportunities that await students at the Isle of Wight College. From 16:00 to 18:30 attendees will be able to attend taster sessions (please book), explore the campuses, take a tour of the facilities, meet with academic staff and chat with current students.
Taster sessions at the main campus include the new forensic science course, plumbing, a range of creative media experiences, motor vehicle, brick laying, animal care and more! If engineering is more your thing then visit CECAMM and choose from welding, hand-fitting, electronics, composites, marine engines or CAD (computer-aided design).
Students who choose to move into college after leaving school can benefit from a range of advantages. The Isle of Wight College offers a wide range of courses and qualifications, providing students with the opportunity to learn practical skills that will prepare them for the working world.
